Are you accredited tour operator?
Yes, our Long Distance, Tourist and Charter Service accreditation number is 36072, Booking Service Provider BSP41233. Our driver guides hold current Transport for NSW Bus Driver Authority, are certified first aiders and members of Institute of Australian Tour Guides. Vehicles’ technical aspects and strict road worthiness standards are regularly checked by NSW Government bodies.
What is the difference between Small Group Tour, Private Signature Tour, and Personalised Charter?
Small group tours are scheduled excursions with set itineraries departing from number of pick-up points in the city. Believing in excellence we keep our tour groups small with maximum of 14 likeminded travellers on board. Private touring provides guests with the opportunity to choose from expertly designed itineraries or customise their day to match any personal needs. We extend the ultimate flexibility from the moment you are picked up from any convenient location – private address, hotel, airport, or cruise terminal.
Why are there no prices displayed for Personalised Charters?

Are there any out of pocket costs?
You can find detailed itinerary and inclusions of every tour on our web site and on your Tour Booking Confirmation / E-Ticket. Our preference is to offer stress free all-inclusive Small Group Tours without optional add-ons or hidden costs. Private touring is custom-made and offers the option for venues to be prearranged or paid on spot directly to the third party.
How does the Promo Code work?
Our system allows you to book one tour at the time. Promo code will be issued with every purchase and is located on the bottom of your Tour Booking Confirmation / E-Ticket. To book another tour use this code to receive discount in a value as currently promoted on the home page of our web site.
Is travel insurance required?
Safety of all passengers is paramount and Wachtl Australia guarantees compliance with all appropriate state laws. However, it is strongly recommended that all passengers take out their own personal travel insurance.
Do you provide child seats?
All passengers younger than 12 months must be secured in a rearward facing child restraint. Booster cushions for older kids are also available upon request. In accordance with Wachtl Australia’s Safety Management System policy no passengers under the age of 12 years are allowed in the front row.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
All efforts are made to cater for most dietary restrictions and to accommodate any reasonable personal requests. However, they must be clearly advised at the time of booking.
Is the tour accessible for people with mobility needs?
Our buses are not equipped with wheelchair ramp and two small steps must be managed to climb into the seat. If requested at the time of booking, we can provide enclosed trailer to store and bring along your wheelchair or collapsible scooter. Fitness levels requirements for each tour are indicated in tour description.
Is tour reconfirmation necessary?
There is no need to reconfirm your tour. We though may need to contact you prior or on the day of your tour. Please ensure that nominated mobile phone (cell phone) is fully charged, switched on, roaming enabled and checked for potential text or voice messages.
What if I am running late for Small Group Tour?
Please be ready at selected location at least 10 minutes ahead of scheduled pick up time. If you are running just few minutes late, contact us immediately by calling our number. Missing tour departure will be considered as “no show” and no compensation can be made.
What if flight is cancelled or not landing on time for private services starting from the airport?
Should there be any disruption or delay it will be responsibility of the passenger to contact Wachtl Australia in order to prevent any no-show or non-arrival charges. Should the aircraft’s scheduled time of arrival change under any circumstances, we will endeavour to accommodate those changes without any additional charges wherever possible.
What happens in case of bad weather?
We will run our tours as long it is safe in the current and anticipated weather condition. We recommend that you check the weather forecast and wear appropriate clothing and bring own umbrella if required. Whilst we endeavour to operate the program as advertised, we reserve the right to cancel tours, amend prices and itineraries if necessary.
Are there any cancellation fees?
Once the payment is received and tour services confirmed, cancellation fees will apply. In addition to our cancellation fees, all cancellation fees levied by hotels, attractions and third party suppliers will be passed on. Cancellations will only be accepted in writing and terms will be applied based on the date that the written cancellation is received. Please check our Terms & Conditions for more details.
Is tipping of our driver guide required?
Tipping in Australia is not compulsory, however if you would like to thank your driver guide for a great day out it would be most appreciated.
Is the tour Covid-19 safe?
Yes, we have implemented a COVID-19 Health and Safety Plan for both public and private tours in accordance with COVID-19 Public Health Orders.

Mark took a family of three adults around for the day and it was a pleasure. We were picked up at our hotel promptly when scheduled and drove to the blue mountains in the comfort of his van, where we spent a wonderful morning at featherdale with the kangaroos. We did the typical tourist stops at scenic world which was a bit touristy but nonetheless something we wanted to see. then we drove closer to three sister rock formations and got another scenic look and even a chance to stand under the formation. Mark was a pleasure to be with all day and we couldn’t have done it without a car. He suggested a delicious little place for a quick lunch too. I highly recommend a tour with Mark.
