Escape the city and venture less than two hours west into the World Heritage–listed Blue Mountains National Park — a region where dramatic sandstone cliffs, deep valleys, and peaceful back roads create a landscape of quiet grandeur. Crafted for travellers who value nature, authenticity, and unhurried discovery, this premium full‑day Blue Mountains private tour blends gentle hiking, boutique wine tasting, and intimate wildlife encounters into one seamless journey. From the clifftops above Wentworth Falls to secluded vantage points overlooking the Jamison and Megalong Valleys, the morning unfolds as a gentle introduction to the stories and spirit that shape this ancient landscape. Here, the soft blue haze rising from the forests becomes more than a view — it becomes a connection to Country, enriched by respectful Aboriginal interpretation that deepens the sense of place. By midday, the journey drifts into the calm of the Megalong Valley, where rugged escarpments give way to rolling farmland and vineyards. At Dryridge Estate, a relaxed Ploughman’s lunch and boutique wine tasting await, framed by mountain ridges and the unhurried charm of rural hospitality. Wild kangaroos often graze nearby, completing a setting where wilderness, culture, wine, and conversation flow together with natural ease.
Begin with an early departure from Sydney, slipping out of the city before the morning traffic and reaching the mountains ahead of the crowds. Crossing the ANZAC Bridge, the journey traces the Parramatta River past Sydney Olympic Park before the urban landscape gives way to the wide skies and open spaces of the west. As the road climbs toward the Great Dividing Range, the air cools, the scenery shifts, and the first hints of the Blue Mountains’ vast sandstone plateau appear on the horizon — a gentle prelude to the landscapes that await.
Enjoy vast views from the top lookout or choose to take the short but steep walk to Princess Rock Lookout to marvel at the waterfall as it plunges 187 metres to the valley floor. Fit walkers can continue along the under‑cliff track via Fletchers Lookout to Wentworth Falls where Jamison Creek cascades into a shallow pool to one side and the magnificent Jamison Valley opens out on the other.
A journey through the Blue Mountains would not be complete without pausing for the region’s most iconic panorama — the Three Sisters rising above the valley floor. Hear the creation story of the rock formation and learn about the Aboriginal connection to ancestors’ land. Continue to Cahill Lookout for sweeping views across the Jamison and Megalong Valleys, separated by Narrow Neck, a defining sandstone ridge, leaving the plateau on winding back roads that descend toward the valley.
Nestled in the heart of the Megalong Valley, Dryridge Estate pairs boutique wines with one of the most serene outlooks in the Blue Mountains. Enjoy a relaxed Ploughman’s lunch and a guided tasting of cool‑climate varietals, all framed by rolling vineyards and rugged sandstone escarpments that rise dramatically in the distance. Wild kangaroos often graze nearby, adding a quintessential Australian touch to this peaceful rural setting.
Step into a leafy bushland sanctuary and meet some of Australia’s most fascinating native animals. Wander past enclosures home to wombats, Tasmanian devils, dingoes, reptiles, and a variety of bird species. Enter the koala habitat for an intimate encounter and spend time observing kangaroos and wallabies as they roam freely in their open environment — a relaxed and memorable wildlife experience.
Choose to end your day with a scenic 55‑minute ferry journey along the Parramatta River, drift beneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge and past the Sydney Opera House before arriving at Circular Quay. From here, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the waterfront precinct as you make your own way back to your accommodation Current page. If preferred, you may skip the ferry and return directly to your hotel by private vehicle.

Dear Mark, thank you so much for such a wonderful trip! You were so helpful, friendly, and professional. We both appreciated you sharing your extensive knowledge about Australia. Your comments regarding Aboriginal culture were especially insightful! The course you took sounded fascinating. Thanks again!

Mark took a family of three adults around for the day and it was a pleasure. We were picked up at our hotel promptly when scheduled and drove to the blue mountains in the comfort of his van, where we spent a wonderful morning at featherdale with the kangaroos. We did the typical tourist stops at scenic world which was a bit touristy but nonetheless something we wanted to see. then we drove closer to three sister rock formations and got another scenic look and even a chance to stand under the formation. Mark was a pleasure to be with all day and we couldn’t have done it without a car. He suggested a delicious little place for a quick lunch too. I highly recommend a tour with Mark.
